Garage Sale Saturdays…The Hunt Is On!

Planning my route a night before, testing my gps on my cell phone and circling the garage sale listings from the paper really are a Friday night ritual.
The community My home is is often a “Planned Community”. So that it is pre-planned and strategically outlined. It’s divided into Sections each section is presented by correspondence. The “P” section is made up of streets you start with the letter P: Perkins, Parking, Parkins, Penny. You get the drift! From the P section, there are several retirees and young professionals. The W section is definitely the rich and ritzy section of town Then the B section is older but, more rundown. The R section is loaded with young families with children. The S Section is south of town and considered inside the boondocks because the lots are larger plus it feels more country. And lastly, the C Section is when the canals, intracoastal, boats, boats plus much more boaters live. Each section has its own characteristics and community. Although we are all part of the larger town, these “sections” develop over town to draw in a particular ambience. The spot with many different children have 2 elementary schools and sidewalks throughout. The “Country” a part of town doesn’t have any street lights and is from the beaten track through the most town. But, town all together has rules and regulations and laws that individuals all try to abide.

We are allowed Two currently have each year. We are forced to obtain a $5 permit per of these sales and our signage is acquired and destroyed by noon on Saturday mornings. It’s not a conducive atmosphere for the Yard sale Business from your own home!
A lot of people have ignored every one of the rules, communicated using their neighbors regarding their needs and plans and also come up with a fairly good living putting on the yard sale event monthly! When they get caught disobeying the rules, they feign innocence to the rules and promise to not ever repeat! But, storage auctions near me when everything has calmed backpedal, there’ll suddenly be another yard sale! A lot of people locally could care less and life continues on!
On the Wednesday prior to the Friday/Saturday Garage Sale rush, a listing of all sales is released in our local shopping guide, The Pennysaver. People list their address, date and time of sale and a handful of “hook” things that will attract the throngs of super sale seekers. I faithfully pour on the Pennysaver dividing the sale addresses into town’s sections and plot my Saturday journey!
I leave for that sales until around 11am since the majority of of those sales end by 1 or 2pm. Therefore, when I buy for the sale, people decide to put up for sale the last of their stuff for just about any price you are offering them. Since I am NEVER searching for anything in particular… just real deals, I have already been in a position to purchase (without negotiation) entire rooms of furniture, enormous collections of old china and enough fabric to sew clothes to get a under developed nation! And that i purchased it approximately $5!!! I own a weekly budget of around $20 for currently have and only a couple of times have I ever reviewed that amount!!!
So, because of this weekend, We are plotting out about 10 sales in a 10 mile selection of my property. I’ll leave at 11 am and stay back by 3pm and that i know….The trunk seat with the car will be LOADED!!!!
