Tablet press generally known as tableting machine, pharmaceutical tablet press, tablet compressing machine, or tablet punching machine is often a mechanical device that compresses powders into tablets of uniform size, shape, and weight containing approximately exactly the same amount of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and excipients. In addition to its use in the pharmaceutical industries for manufacturing kinds of tablets, it can be accustomed to manufacture illicit drugs, cleaning products, and cosmetics.
All tablet press employs the same guideline of compression. The essential unit of any tablet press is tooling comprising two punches plus a die termed as a station. The upper and minimize punches get together in the die that contains the tablet formulation.
