A fresh 2016 Xmas rock track has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of providing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The tracks name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs style is a unique up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to studio record the song durring a six week period. The track contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the United States because of Mark needed the best result and quality. The track is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day site as we are able to and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to 1 or every one of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
The other definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to help fund and create a Phuket live music cafe with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll present free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to market his song Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to help including a Phuket Hotel and budget flights to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
