Wire art, also known as wire sculpture is surely an indispensable branch of recent art. Popularized by Alexander Calder, employing wires of single strands to make net like sculptures of products and living beings which are minimalist and abstract, wire art has been produced by artists who sometimes choose to deviate in the mainstream. Such an art produced from wire is KAYA by Racso Jugarap. In the creating and modeling of KAYA, Racso capitalized relating to the endless possibilities that wire art world. KAYA, that is a wall piece wire artwork is 3 dimensional and is also weaved based on philosophy of self. Racso made KAYA to be a portal to somewhere – perhaps to one’s aspirations and dreams. Finally he concludes that everyone is free of charge to interpret the piece, being in keeping with the philosophy of self.
Being a wall sculpture, KAYA embodies a tear shape with an airy loop at the center connected by spider web like weave round the sides, fringing the empty circle at the center. What makes KAYA stand out will be the dimensional geometry of the web which is palpable when hung on the wall. KAYA is a masterpiece in their right, lovingly conceived by desire for wall installation and wire art.

The concept of KAYA isn’t wholly new – Racso derived it from his Sofia pieces. There’s an overlapping design quality. He was quoted saying that Sofia is really a gargantuan wire piece resembling interconnected cocoons. His pieces has made it so far as L . a ., California, New York, Paris, France and Milan, Italy, being testimony for the covetous value as well as artistry sense.
Racso is excited that KAYA can be be featured at All4Home event in Brussels, Belgium and in Maison et Objet Paris for public viewing. When asked why is his wire pieces unique in the other wire sculptures, he was quoted saying, “I guess because I never do each piece perfectly. My motto has long been, loving the beauty of imperfections which made the piece more interesting. I think each Racso J pieces their very own signature or thumbprint. An account to inform. ”In an encapsulation, KAYA personifies the infinite variations possible in the world of wire art and interior planning and the man is satisfied that his work gets due recognition and appreciation.
