The late Egyptian scholar Mustafa Mahmoud said: “Darwin’s theory been able to justify the survival for that fittest but it failed straightaway to warrant the survival of beauty”. Indeed, Darwin’s theory didn’t explain why we percieve a touch of beauty everywhere you go around us.
How is it possible that beauty is often a product of a mere chance? Do we count on seeing the composition of a beautiful painting by simply throwing a colour palette randomly in the air? While i look around me, I see the sky like a pallet of paint packed with color, gradient blue framing the morning clouds. Since the sun goes down, I’m amazed by the streaks of golden sunshine with incredible richness of tones, orange, yellow, red, velvet, and grey, and they all blend well till they fade in the night. So when the evening comes, I encounter another flavor of beauty; lovers sense it the most, once the sky hugs the moon as well as the stars twinkle from the darkness. Have you ever seen the dazzling appeal of a rainbow stretching its beautiful colors through the sky on the meadow?
Certainly we have been given countless magnificent gifts! Waves scattered in the seashore, waterfalls, horses, peacocks, butterflies, roses, plants and trees from the wild fields, herds of colored fish swimming from the marine, herds of birds stretching their wings and since the sky to mention several. Beauty extends in all the scenes we come across to encompass every detail and meaning in your lives. You feel the wonder once your newborn baby holds your finger together with his little hand, if you hear love whispers from the one you adore, when you hear a piece of music that literally brings back all beautiful memories, you touch beauty in intangible concepts like nobility, sacrifice, justice, mercy, love and tenderness. How is it possible that faith that surrounds us will there be by mere chance? Of course, if it plausible that things are beautiful by mere chance, then could chances happen every day for an incredible number of years? And If Certainly together with you that chances happen every day, every hour and every second for an incredible number of years, is it possible that the understanding of beauty is instilled in us by mere chance too?
