With the discharge of the brand new 2 wheel self balancing electric scooter, 2015 has been a fantastic year for gadget fans. Worldwide, people are taking to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to create photos and videos of themselves zipping around on this 2 wheel contraption which basically appears like a board using a wheel on either side.
A cross between a skateboard and a segway, this mini Segway (without the handle) type thing is bolstering in popularity, fuelled partly with the quantity of celebrities that have been seen one. From Bieber assault to Soulja Boy, Kendall Jenner to Jamie Foxx, all have tried their hand as of this nifty little gadget, and seem to own had a lot of fun the process.
Nicknamed the ‘swegway’ (because of it’s likeness on the Segway, but a ‘cooler’ version) we aren’t sure entirely where this particular 2 wheel self balancing scooter descends from or who invented the initial. Almost certainly it descends from some factory in China. The 1st glimpses we got than it on television were a product called the IO Hawk, a scooter that will set you back an astonishing $1800. It was back January of 2015. Since then many cheaper versions of the same product have fallen available on the market along with the average price right now looks like it’s around $500.
What makes it work? Basically you climb onto the two panels and shift your body weight slightly forward or slightly back and yes it senses this bodyweight change and moves backwards or forwards. It may also turn right or left. This 2 wheel self balancing scooter is becoming so well received it really is being touted because the personal mobility device of the future. Who wishes to walk when you can glide, right? Plus it’s actually a lot faster than walking, travelling at speeds of 6mph to 10mph.
