A brand new 2016 Xmas rock-POP song has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main goal of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day web site .

The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs style is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo track since then awaiting the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the track over a 6 week period. The track contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA as a result of Mark needed the best outcome and quality. The song ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main purpose of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be kind enough to contribute to 1 or all the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
The other primary goal is to have enough downloads of the song to help fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, which will present free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to market his track Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous ways to help including a Phuket Accommodation and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
